Re: New Leader in the Longest Ride Challenge
Yes - Kudos to 1tal - after his Xmas day Billy-no-Mates ride which should have sealed it, this was a great comeback.
Weather looks like it was pretty wet on 29th if at least reasonably calm from a wind point of view
It was wet and mild for the first 6 hours, then it dryed up when it got dark, the temperature doped, the wind was lght all ride. Felt good up till the 145 mile mark then just ground it out.
way to go 1tal, even though you beat (well destroyed!!) me in the 5000 mile challenge i'm cheering you on all the way!
if they ever do a pair up challenge and you need someone to combine your mileage with I call shot gun!!
Well done, I think this group has a ton of talent. 1tal puts up some great rides and best of all he does it consistently. I went into this challenge hoping to be competitive and it feels good to be in the mix. I have one more ride to upload but I will keep it suspensful and wait to disclose my last ride until I leave work this evening. I hope everyone has a happy new year!
It was a great competition that came down to a head to head between 1tal and Jprcr. Well it's now official - 1tal is this month's winner of the longest ride competition with his record breaking 10 hour ride covering 172.2 miles!
Thanks to everyone who took part in this element of the challenge; 1tal, we'll be in touch regarding your well deserved prize.
We will be announcing the winners of the other elements of the December challenge over the next couple of days...
Happy New Year everyone, here's to some grest riding in 2013. PS Look out for a New Challenge for January with great prizes to be announced later this week...
Congrats 1tal - epic ride (you'll get even me to try a turbo at this rate)
Commiserations to Jprcr - great effort
